"There's an old saying; just because you're paranoid, that doesn't mean they're not out to get you. I have my own variation: just because you're insane that doesn't mean that things aren't slipping in unnoticed through dimensional gateways..." ~ Christopher Knowles (h/t to The Daily Grail for quote.)

A Skeptoid's 20 Year Plus War

One characteristic of the pathological skeptic is their incredible tenacity. Combined with paranoid pettiness, this often crosses the line from simple crankiness to all out psychosis.
John Merrell is one such person- he's been after psychic Noreen Rainer for years. YEARS. He lost to her in court once, but even after that, couldn't let it go. Now he's boasting on all the usual skeptic places on the internet he's "won" -- for Raineer has declared bankruptcy, and the estate is supposedly going to pay him off, including, supposedly, the rights to one of her books.

Some people have way too much time on their hands. And it's sad when it affects others. Oh I know, Merrell is fighting the good fight, he's one of the self appointed Crusaders protecting rationalism. That's what they tell themselves to justify their behavior.

Is Noreen Rainer "real?" I have no idea. Who cares?

Her authenticity is not the point, although of course that is exactly what the Merrells of the world will tell you.

Well now. It certainly sounds like you aren't aware the decisions that I "won" were made by a federal judge in a Washington federal court in 2006 and 2007. And that the reason Noreen Renier declared bankruptcy is to avoid paying her key creditor --- myself --- after the judgment against her was made. And it also doesn't sound like you know much about the reasons why I pursued this for more than 23 years. If you had been "set up" through perjury and false testimony would you want to clear your name? Before posting your commentary it would be best if you reviewed the facts, not just issue opinions based on your beliefs and interests. A complete reading of the web site amindformurder with a dot com will --- I certainly hope --- turn your interests into a better spot of reality and the truth. Unless of course you prefer to let people go who fool others for large sums of money and practice paranormal claims they know are false. -John Merrell
