"There's an old saying; just because you're paranoid, that doesn't mean they're not out to get you. I have my own variation: just because you're insane that doesn't mean that things aren't slipping in unnoticed through dimensional gateways..." ~ Christopher Knowles (h/t to The Daily Grail for quote.)

I just noticed this one: Government Bigfoot Cover-up, which I added to the Bigfoot Threads on JREF in the menu on your right.

UFO Media: The UFO Hacker

Joseph Capp, of UFO Media, has a good piece on the Stephenville, Texas UFO sightings and the 'X' Zone's Radio Show host McConnell, who committs all kinds of debunker and faux skeptic form sof dishonesty.

Bigfoot Kisses Santa!

Skeptics don't "believe in Bigfoot." They argue about it a lot; although, what's to argue if you don't believe it exists? Anyway, the JREF or James Randi Educational Forum, has, I think, five seperate threads going over there about Bigfoot. That was at last count, before I discovered the following three new threads that have popped up, adding to the list. This makes for around eight threads about a creature that they insist doesn't exist.

  • Libertarian Cato Institute Fires Academic for UFO Interest

A Libertarian think tank fires academic for his UFO interests.

Dom Armentano is a “free market economist” for the Cato Institute, which is steeped in Libertarian philosopies. Up to a point that is; apparently, there are limits to what topics are acceptable.

Armentano wrote an op-ed piece that was published in the Vero Beach Journal on UFOs; specifically, on the issue of declassification. The Cato Institute apparently felt this was akin to endorsing child pornography or animal cruelty, for they fired him. If you have any doubt as to Armentano’s UFO interest having anything to do with his firing, here's the response Armentano received when he inquired about his sudden dismissal:
“I won’t deny that this latest op-ed played a role in our decision. Some day we may look back and wish we’d listened to you. But for now this strikes us as not an issue that we want to have as part of Cato’s research agenda.”

However, Armentano did not use the Cato Institute for his UFO “research agenda.”
